Ecumenical Good Friday Walk 2 pm March 29

The Ecumenical Good Friday Walk for Justice planning team is again offering an opportunity to connect the meaning of Jesus’ suffering on the imperial cross of the first century to the contemporary suffering of victims of the empire’s powers-that-be in twenty-first century Canada/Toronto. The Walk, often attended by three to five hundred people, begins at 2 pm at Church of the Holy Trinity, to the west of the Eaton Centre, and makes a public witness at a few “stations” before making its way to Dundas Square and then back to Holy Trinity, closing at about 4:30 with a simple soup and bread meal. Plan on coming Good Friday afternoon to be in solidarity with those being crucified today, including youth, aboriginal people, and refugees. http://www.goodfridaywalk.ca/?p=452
